What coverage do you provide?
Our Extended Warranty coverage provides a simple extension of your manufacturer mechanical warranty.
This includes the failure of components that would have been covered under the original manufacturer’s warranty (if it had not expired subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty).
While covered, your extended warranty will allow you to claim up to the market value of your motor vehicle in the event of a mechanical failure.

Customer Care Package
Car owners who take out a policy with AutoAuto also benefit from a range of additional services designed to support you when your vehicle has a major mechanical breakdown.
These benefits are in addition to your coverage for the failure of any components covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and are reimbursed in the event of a covered mechanical breakdown.
As part of our Customer Care Package, these benefits include:
Up to $300 per claim
In the event of a covered mechanical breakdown where your vehicle is unable to be quickly repaired or driven safely to an AWN Approved Repairer, we will reimburse you for up to $300 per claim for towing charges.
Up to $300 per claim
In the event of a covered major vehicle breakdown where you are more than 400kms from your registered residence and repairs are taking more than 48 hours, we will reimburse you for up to $300 per claim for accommodation and arrangements.
Car hire Assistance
Up to $300 per claim
In the event of a covered major vehicle breakdown where you are more than 400kms from your registered residence and repairs are taking more than 48 hours, we will reimburse you for up to $300 per claim for car hire costs (this excludes car hire over weekends and public holidays).
Future cover of repairs
All repairs to covered components authorised by AWN Insurance, prior to the commencement of repairs, will be covered by the extended warranty for the remaining period of cover.

New vs. Used Vehicle Extended Warranty coverage
Whether your vehicle is currently covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, selling agent’s statutory warranty, or neither effects when your period of cover begins. Find out below how our period of cover is impacted by your current warranty coverage.
For vehicles still covered under your manufacturer’s warranty
If your vehicle is still covered by your original manufacturer warranty, your policy coverage with AutoAuto will begin on the date your original warranty expires. This means that there is no gap in coverage for you and your vehicle.
For vehicles covered under a selling agent’s statutory warranty
If your vehicle is covered by a statutory warranty, your policy coverage will also begin on the day your warranty expires. There is no gap in coverage during this period for you and your vehicle.
For vehicles not covered by a manufacturer warranty or selling agent statutory warranty
Your period of cover is subject to a 90 day commencement period, meaning you can still take out coverage however the earliest commencement date of this coverage is 90 days in the future. Similar to health insurance, this is to ensure a buyer is not buying the warranty to rectify an pre-existing condition.
While the age, model and odometer reading of your vehicle all impact the cost of your extended warranty; owning a vehicle not currently covered by a warranty does not. This means that you pay the same price as vehicles already covered, and are subject only to the 90 day waiting period, or 5,000kms, whichever occurs first.
