Extended Car Warranty Coverage, Eligibility & Obligations.

Unsure if you’re eligible for extended car warranty coverage, or want to understand more about what Auto Auto we offers?

Find more information below on our Extended Car Warranty coverage

What coverage does Auto Auto provide?

Our Extended Car Warranty coverage provides an extension of your manufacturer's mechanical warranty.

This includes the failure of components that would have been covered under the original manufacturer’s car warranty (if it had not expired subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty).

While covered, your extended car warranty will allow you to claim up to the market value of your motor vehicle in the event of a mechanical failure.

There are some limits of liability and exclusions of the warranty and we recommend that you read our PDS to understand more.

Am I eligible for extended car warranty?

Auto Auto Extended Car Warranty covers a wide range of models, though we don’t cover everything.

The easiest way to determine if you are eligible for an extended car warranty is to fill out our Online Quote. Along with determining your eligibility, you’ll be provided with an immediate quote for your policy.

For eligible makes and models, your vehicle must also:

  • Be less than eight years old,

  • Have travelled less than 140,000kms,

  • Have a market value greater than $10,000, but not more than $120,000,

  • Have not been modified from the manufacturer’s specification,

  • Be registered in Australia, and

  • The policy holder (you) is at least 21 years old

In addition to these criteria, your vehicle must also not be used for:

  • Commercial purposes,

  • Emergency services,

  • Racing, or

  • Any other unacceptable use

Obligations

To ensure we provide you with the best possible service, there are certain obligations that you, as the policy holder, are required to perform to obtain an Extended Car Warranty.

These ensure your vehicle remains in the best possible condition and includes:

  • Maintain a roadworthy, mechanically sound, and regularly serviced vehicle, in accordance with your manufacturer’s recommendations

  • You (or any person in control of your vehicle), take all reasonable precautions to minimise damage to the covered components or continue to operate the vehicle if damage is suspected

If you are unsure about any of the above items, or want to learn more, we recommend you read our full Product Disclosure Statement found in the footer.
